Although Zoya Akhtar film Gully Boy about rap culture in India has been given UA certification and will be releasing this Friday with some missing scenes by the censor board. Even after the cuts, producer Ritesh Sidhwani told that they have no issues with the certification. “It is absolutely fine,”
Apart from shortening the kissing scene, The CBFC has asked for four changes in the film. The name of liquor brand Royal Stag has been removed from the list of brand partners. Simply because it is an alcohol brand, it is first where the name of a brand partner has been removed.
Besides making it a wide shot instead of a close-up of Ranveer and Alia, The CBFC has asked the Ranveer-Alia kissing scene to be cut down by 13 seconds. Some words like Cuss have also been renamed or removed from the film.
