Gully boy and baaghi 3 actor Vijay Varma Is No More ‘Aatm-Nirbhar’, Here’s Why

It’s family time for versatile actor Vijay Varma. On Tuesday, the actor flew to his hometown of Hyderabad from Mumbai.

Taking to Instagram, he posted a picture of his airport look. He can be seen wearing a face shield and mask.

“Ghar wapsi. No more aatm-nirbhar,” Vijay Varma quipped.

He also uploaded a few videos, showing how empty Bombay Airport looks amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Bombay Airport is surreal.We are in a post apocalyptic world friends,” Vijay Varma captioned the video.

A lot of celebrities have visited their respective hometowns post lockdown. Actresses Rakul Preet Singh and Radhika Madan are currently spending time with their family in Delhi.Actor Aparshakti Khurana is in Chandigarh with his mom and dad.”

Vijay started his acting journey as a theatre artiste in his hometown Hyderabad. He worked in numerous plays before he decided to move to Pune for two years to get a formal education in acting at FTII. After finishing his post graduate course, he shifted his base to Mumbai in search of acting work. His first acting job was in short film titled Shor which was highly acclaimed at festivals and won the Best Short Film at the MIAAC festival, New York that year. He also worked in critical acclaimed movie Pink as well.

Beginning his career as a theatre actor, Vijay Varma then completed a post graduate degree from the Film and Television Institute of India in Pune. Post that, he moved to Mumbai and has been a part of the films Chittagong (2012), Rangrezz (2013) and Monsoon Shootout (2017). He rose to fame with the Amitabh Bachchan starrer Pink (2016) and received positive reviews for his role of an abusive Delhiite. His 2019 release includes Gully Boy.
