Boot camp workouts, as per Mayo Clinic, include a fairly intense mix of strength training and aerobic elements, such as pushups, pull-ups, lunges and crunches, as well as drills and sprints, etc. The main idea of a fitness boot camp is to give a full-body workout that builds strength and endurance. It is claimed that this type of high-intensity aerobic interval training burns more calories in less time than moderate aerobic activities.
